The Department of Political Science of Hooghly Women's College started its journey in 2007. As a discipline of Social Science, Political Science department has been offering honours and general courses to create an academic enivronment for promotion of quality education. As a part of curriculum,the department arranges for technical and innovative methods in teaching.Student enrichment programmes like seminars are also arranged. The Department aspires to equip students for life along with being socially committed responsible citizens.
